What does the job entail?

Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager and based from home, the Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving their lending target and contributing to the overall success of Intermediary Sales.

You will have the necessary skills to create and follow a Sales Action Plan for your defined area. This plan will detail the targeted introducers, resources and products required to ensure targets are achieved. Excellent communicating and Influencing skills are essential as you will be required to maintain existing relationships and identify new sources to help achieve business targets.

You will also be required to react quickly to situations to deal with day to day issues - complaints, service problems and requests for product information. You will need to be highly motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.

Knowledge of the intermediary sales market is required although further training will be given on successful appointment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • 2/3 years experience of the sales market particularly in the Specialist lending area
  • The ability to work on their own initiative
  • Determination to reach and achieve stretching targets
  • The ability to look at the wider picture
  • CeMAP or part CeMAP qualification

The key elements of the role are to:

  • Develop and maintenance the Intermediary relationships to achieve both lending and General Insurance targets
  • Establish and implement an agreed sales plan for the area which will target key introducers in the specialist lending areas
  • Promotional initiatives, mortgage products and overall territory
