BM in the Community: Giving

As well as raising money to give to good causes the company also provides much needed funds enabling local events and community programmes. This includes providing much needing funding to allow the Wolverhampton Marathon to take place and for the Tour of Britain cycle race to come to Birmingham.

2005 saw the launch of the BM and Wolves partnership, focussed on putting back in to the local headquarters community (Wolverhampton). The partnerships success in 2005 has been phenomenal, with its range of schemes touching all parts of the Wolverhampton community. In 2005, over 60,000 children and young adults have benefited from the schemes available. In total the number of people included in the community programme came to over 140,000.

Birmingham Midshires also supports local charities through a regional grant system funded by the HBOS Foundation. If you are a charity wishing to find out more about the regional grant criteria and application process please visit www.hbosfoundation.org and select regional grants.
