Interest Rate Information

The interest rate on your account depends on whether a special product is applicable or if it is on our standard variable rate. Details of both our standard rate and the Bank of England Base Rate are shown on the Interest Rates News page.

If you think your account is on a special product please check your original mortgage offer, which will show details of the product you have.

Your account may have been transferred to a new product since it completed. The full terms and conditions would have been shown on a transfer authority form.

We can provide copies of either the original mortgage offer or transfer authority form, free of charge, if required.

Calculate Interest Daily Pack Requests and conversions

With daily interest we calculate the interest due based on the balance on your mortgage each day. We immediately reduce your balance when a payment is received by the amount which exceeds the interest charged. With many mortgages there is a delay before a repayment will reduce the balance. In some instances this is only done once a year.

Certificate of Interest Requests

For tax purposes some customers require official proof of the amount of interest charged to their account during a tax year. In these instances we can issue a certificate of interest paid, which will detail this information.

Although we do not charge for providing this information the first time, if we are then asked for a duplicate copy we will charge for each year you ask us to duplicate.

If you prefer we can arrange to automatically send a certificate to you every year.

Calls may be monitored and recorded for security and training purposes. 0845 numbers may not be available outside the UK. Calls from BT landlines will cost a maximum of 4p per minute plus a 6p call set-up fee. The price of calls from other telephone companies and from outside the UK will vary.
